The trend for Scandinavian style décor using neutral colours and natural resources is set to stay, and Kaz’s beautiful home featuring our Scandi style tiles blew us away. We love the minimal theme she’s created throughout the downstairs area that still feels cosy and homely. We caught up with her to find out about her project.
Scandi Style Tiles
We purchased our 1960’s Dormer House in September 2020 with plenty of saved Pinterest albums of all our inspiration. We knew that the whole house needed renovating to achieve our Scandi/ Mediterranean styled theme and we were over the moon when we found the exact Scandi style tiles we were looking for! We were keen to make an open plan space throughout the downstairs and to get this look, we decided on the same floor throughout the kitchen, dining, living and porch areas.
My partner and I spent hours scrolling through endless online sites trying to find the perfect textured tile but with no luck, decided to try Direct Tile Warehouse. We were so pleased when we walked in and had not only one tile but a selection of similar style tiles to choose from! After some helpful tips from the staff, we went for the Camous White R12 Anti Slip Tiles that were 40 x 60 cm.
The staff were incredibly helpful when organising the delivery of our tiles and we also went for their recommended tiler too. The whole service provided was impeccable- from the initial phone call with the staff, the in-store shopping experience and through to the final days of the tiles being delivered and laid.
We are so happy with the finished result and I would honestly recommend Direct Tile Warehouse to anyone who is looking for Scandi style tiles!

Despite being a relatively new trend, Japandi is making waves on Instagram and Pinterest.
When you think of Japan and Scandinavia, you might not think they have much in common. But their design styles are very similar, with each region encompassing simplicity, natural elements, and comfort. “Japandi” (aka Japanese and Scandi) is a combination of these two looks.
What is Japandi Design?
Japandi design combines Scandinavian functionality and Japanese minimalism to create art, nature, and simplicity. The style focuses on clean lines and achieves the ideal balance of function and form.
